National Plumbing Course  

We are accredited by the QCTO (SDP 1220/16/032) and Construction Ceta (5K5982) to offer this complete course after completing this course successfully you will be a Qualified Plumber or Electrician.

(Ceta – Unit Standard 58782 Level 4) ( QCTO – OFO Code 64260100 Unit Standard 91782)

Practical and theoretical course @ R 55 000.00 per year.

Accommodation is available @ R5000 – R7000 per month inclusive of 3 meals and Laundry once a week if a rental contract is signed.  Talk to us about 6 monthly ad Month to month options.

You will perform a series of plumbing works under the supervision of our highly trained and competent Assessors.

  • Understand and apply domestic rainwater system installation and maintenance techniques
  • Apply Domestic above ground drainage system installation and maintenance techniques
  • Understand and apply domestic hot water system installation and maintenance techniques
  • Understand and apply domestic cold water system installation and maintenance techniques
  • Understand how to apply scientific principles within Mechanical Engineering Services
  • How to communicate with others within Building Services Engineering
  • Understand and Carry out site preparation and pipework fabrication techniques for domestic areas
  • Understand and carry out safe working practices in building.
  • Understand and apply domestic sanitation system installation, commissioning services
  • Understand and carry out electrical work on domestic plumbing and heating systems and components
  • Understand domestic central heating techniques
  • Understand domestic hot water system techniques
  • Understand domestic cold water techniques
  • Understand how to organise resources within Building Services Engineer

We are a NAMB approved Trade testing Centre for Plumbing and will perform the trade test for our candidates enrolled for this course for Plumbing, electrical candidates we assist to be trade tested externally.

This course is accepted in South Africa and internationally once a conversion examination is done for the country that you want to go to, this is not done by PCD College.

Last 6 months

Consists mostly out of practical work on site and various other activities provided by the College.

*Duration of Course

  • If the student is 16 years old his studies will be 3 and a half years
  • If the student is 17 His studies will be 3 years
  • If the student is 18 his studies will be 2 and a half years

 

National Electrical Course

(Ceta – Unit Standard 72052 Level 4) (QCTO – OFO Code 67110100 Unit Standard 91761)

National Course Further Education and Training Certificate: Electrical Engineering is a 2 and a Half year* practical and theoretical course .

@ R 55 000.00 per year (inclusive of all international examination fees and text books – (if an exam is failed the re writing cost is for the account of the student))

You will perform a series of Electrical works under the supervision of our highly trained and competent Assessors.

This course enables you to perform all tasks an Electrician need to perform nationally and internationally

This course is a full Qualification course – when finished successfully you are a qualified plumber.

You must have Grade 12 Maths and Science OR you will have to do Level 2 and then L3 to finish this Qualification (we will explain this in detail)
